Sew your heart out from arrival at 11am on Friday 24th April, to departure by 4pm on Sunday 26th April 2020.

 

Your stay will include:

Two nights’ accommodation in hostel-style bedrooms, sharing with other sewists. Beds are mostly in bunks, please note on your booking form if you specifically require a lower bunk or more headroom due to accessibility. Bed linen will be provided. We will have exclusive use of the centre and grounds during our stay.

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

Lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Friday and Saturday lunches will be a lighter meal, Sunday lunch will be a main meal.)

Two course evening meal on Friday and Saturday. 

Coffee, tea, squash and biscuits on tap.

 

Access to two ironing stations, a full length mirror, a table shared between you and one other sewist.

 

You will need to bring:

Towels

Any additional snacks and beverages you would like, not listed above

Sewing machine(s)

All equipment, tools, fabric, notions required to complete your sewing projects throughout the weekend

An extension lead

 

As with our sewing days, tables will all be used as sewing stations so please bring your projects pre-cut, unless you are happy to cut out on the floor. There is no shortage of floor space at the centre.

 

The sewing room is located in the middle of the venue, with the bedrooms leading from the space. We will therefore politely suggest that the sewing space is not used between 10pm and 8am so that everyone has an opportunity to get their stitching sleep! 

 

However, should sewists wish to stitch or chat the night away, the Ibbett Room will be open 24 hours, and is well away from the bedrooms so that those who need quiet, can sleep in peace.

We are very pleased to offer an additional option for you during the weekend. Sarah Fletcher of Sarah Diane Creative will be participating in The Escape. She is very happy to offer 1:1 tuition to those sewists who would like some extra help. This is a chargeable service, Sarah can be contacted directly to arrange this. Please note, Sarah will be participating in the weekend as a retreat for herself. Unless you have pre-arranged tuition with her, please be mindful of this and respect her personal sewing time.
